You're entertained, right? So, at least on that end, good time had. Obviously, given the subject matter, this is all pretty depraved stuff maybe good time isn't the best terminology. But if you're looking for something a bit longer-lasting, perhaps something you can sink your teeth into, a solid TV series could be your ticket to a good time. If an open-and-closed book is what you seek, well, we've already got you covered on serial killer movies. We're attracted to the worst, and we're attracted to wanting to know what happened, and how it happened. When a story surrounds a serial killer, or the hunt for a serial killer, that's going to be an easy way to get people engaged, thinking, and theorizing. Hell, going back to 2014-when the first seasons of the HBO series True Detective and the podcast Serial both took the country by storm-we've seen an uptick in mysteries, both based on real life and fictional, usually surrounding heinous crimes, and, often, death. If there's one thing uniting America these days, it might just be grim film and television.
